[It sounds like the rumble of boulders at first, low, monotonous, and threatening. After a moment, one might realize it’s a combination of a growl deep in one’s throat, as well as the sound of blunt fangs grinding together in obvious irritation. It had taken him quite a while to even figure out how to turn the thing on, but now everyone could have his piercing, narrowed white eyes trying to bore holes through their souls.The creak of his gauntlets tightening around the hilt of a wicked, impossibly helix-blade is a chilling sound indeed.]

Where?

[These were not his lands, and he could not sense Majora anywhere nearby. The Oni was exhausted, still bearing the wounds of his titanic struggle, AND the dried blood smeared across his face only lent itself to his already savage appearance. Someone had better start talking, and quickly, before he found the first pair of mortals to snatch up with his hands and choke them until they mewled every answer he wanted to hear. ]

[Right, those fairies...]

They're the ones that brought us here. I've been told that they're trouble though.

[She is tiny, as are most mortals. It's something the Deity registers and dismisses in favor of focusing on whatever food item she's shoving his way. The glass... that's something that actually makes him pause for a moment.]

[Magic. He can't smell it, but it must be.]

[The sandwich is gone within three bites, and the Oni is left licking his lips in a satisfied fashion. Now all that's left is the strange white magic. His ears twitch slightly before he simply chooses to bite straight through half of it. The crunch is unpleasant, and he can feel the substance slicing at his tongue and cheeks, but the Deity stubbornly continues to chew. Whatever was inside has started dribbling all over his fist, and after a moment, he does pause to experimentally lick at it. Much tastier than the outside.]

Nah, not really my village, it's not like I'm the queen of this place or whatever.

[ She grabs some food from off screen, idly eating even as she talks. ] But I have the honor of living here, if that's what you mean.

[And immediately Saki is fetching up a napkin - ]

That's glass! You don't eat that. Are you bleeding?

[He grunts at that. Fairies were the ones responsible, then. He'd crush their tiny bodies into powder as soon as he found them...]

[But, that brought him to his next point. Irritated, he tore the odd 'crown' from his head, thrusting it at the screen. It certainly didn't smell unappealing, but the fact that it had been on his person was not appreciated. Another fairy trick?]

[Glass. Another foreign word. His jaw tightened briefly, his primal instinct encouraging him to swallow the stuff so that she couldn't have it instead, but after a moment, the Deity decided it hadn't been that fulfilling anyway.]

[He spits the somewhat bloodied lumps on the floor, running his red, red tongue over the inside of his mouth. Tiny cuts--they're already beginning to heal, unlike the larger wounds he sustained before.]

[Now back to staring at Saki, still holding the dripping vial. What's he supposed to do with it?]

Here, [Saki holds the napkin for now, stepping beside him. She has to force herself not to abrupt in her gestures, very gently wrapping her hand around the glass and raising it - not extricating it from his grip - to her lips to demonstrate.]

You drink what's inside it, [she adds, after lowering the glass again.]

[She's snagged his attention. Unfortunately, this means he's more interested in watching whatever she's eating than listening.]

These are not my lands.

That? That works as protection from the faeries, at least that's what I've been told. I haven't been able to find out for myself yet.

[ It's nothing that special - just an apple, probably. ]

It's not anyone's lands. Well, it's the faeries', I guess.

[She's already figuring him out. As soon as her hand touches his and the glass, well, his fingers tighten possessively. She doesn't try to wrench it away, however, and though the Oni is watching her with narrowed, suspicious eyes, nothing untrustworthy occurs.]

Mm. [He'll take the initiative to lift the glass this time, looking somehow awkward with it pressed against his lips before he takes a drink. There's a brief flicker of surprise across his stoic features, and the Deity simply settles for peering down at the object with open curiosity.]

[The snort that results from those words can only be described as dismissive. The Deity pointed lets the rowan fall from his fingertips, clearly unimpressed. No fairy was a match for him--at least, in his world.]

[But food is food, and therefore, it is edible and very special.]

For now. [There's no hiding the disdain in his tone, the flash of fang. Why were they meddling? They'd always been peaceful creatures, keeping to themselves.]

Eh... they said it's a good idea to at least keep it on you. You don't have to wear it, but just keep it on your person.

[ She repeats the word rather curious, peering over at the device. See, this is starting to sound interesting. ]

What, why would it just be 'for now'?

[The Oni puffs out a quiet breath, shaking his head almost irritably. Perhaps he will, perhaps he won't. He's always put more strength in himself than any mere trinkets, save his blade.]

They will not live long. [It's said with a chilling sort of certainty. Not now, perhaps. He's tired, and needs to recuperate, but the Deity will make the winged beings regret their meddling.]

Ho-- ... [ She pauses for a moment, but then she laughs, before ending up with a grin on her face as she speaks again. ]

That sure is ambitious! I like the way you think, y'know.

Are you looking for anything in particular? Most of the time, if you're looking for something, you can find it at the village.

[A smile. He tilts his head a little, perhaps acknowledging the emotion.]

They should have expected the consequence.

I'll have you know I took out a good deal of them a while back too. [ Okay, so 'a good deal' is way exagerrated, but bragging is how Kyouko rolls. ]

They're just annoying pests.

Everyone was brought? [He hadn't expected that. These mortals--and now himself--were mere playthings for these fairies? The Deity growls lowly.]
